Gift Policy Standards
All donations to the Lazy Bear Fund, Inc. (“Lazy Bear” or “we” or “us” or “our”) support the Lazy Bear mission of fundraising, education, and community organization for the benefit of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and transsexual community, and for medical research for the benefit of all communities throughout the United States and abroad.
Lazy Bear manages a number of fundraising initiatives with local organizations to make every donated dollar go further in that organization’s region and around the world. We will carefully consider the needs of the organization and will use your gift where we determine it is most needed, so that all donations may directly and indirectly support that area. When processing each gift, we will follow Lazy Bear’s business rules and agreements.
Lazy Bear will not accept any restrictions on use of donations less than $10,000; however, if you specifically request at the time of donation that funds be distributed to an accredited organization we will honor such request so long as distribution does not conflict with other Lazy Bear policies. If we cannot honor a donor’s designation request for a gift of $10,000 or more, the gift will be returned to the donor. Third parties to a donation may not change the original designation of a gift. Lazy Bear may refuse any gift that does not sufficiently benefit the organization, is in conflict with the Lazy Bear mission, puts the reputation of Lazy Bear at risk or is prohibited by law.
For donations made electronically, refunds are available for 15 days after a donation is processed. For donations made using any other system, learn whether refunds are available by getting in touch with the Lazy Bear office through the contact information available below.

Donation Refund Policy
Donations are normally nonrefundable, but if you have made an error in making your donation or changed your mind about contributing to the Lazy Bear Fund, we will honor your request for a refund made within 15 days of your donation.
To request a refund, email our Donation Services Manager. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.
Terms and Conditions
Event Dates, Venues and Postponement
The Lazy Bear Fund reserves the right to alter event dates, venues and location where necessary without liability. We will endeavor to give the attendees as much advance notice as possible of any such change via the attendee’s email address provided at the time of registration.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by Attendee
For donation based events (for example Lazy Bear Week), please see the Donation Refund Policy at https://www.lazybearfund.org/policies. For all other events, no refunds are available for any reason without the explicit approval of the Board of Directors, unless otherwise noted during the registration process.
Cancellation by Organizer
Lazy Bear may cancel or reschedule any event due to the occurrence of any force majeure event or credible threat thereof, including but not limited to any Act of God, fire, earthquake, acts of civil or military authority, casualty, fire, flood, war, terrorist attack, epidemic, insurrection, civil unrest, strikes or other labor activities or any other similar cause beyond the reasonable control of Lazy Bear Fund Inc., including environmental conditions that might threaten the health and safety of event participants, volunteers or staff. I understand and agree that my donations, registration fees and other costs will not be refunded by Lazy Bear Fund Inc. if all or any portion of an event is canceled or rescheduled due to a force majeure event. I will release and hold Lazy Bear Fund Inc. harmless for any costs or damages incurred as result of cancellation or rescheduling of a Lazy Bear event due to a force majeure event.
Other Terms
The Lazy Bear Fund does not accept responsibility for attendees’ personal belongings or valuables brought to events. These remain the responsibility of the individual attendees.
